A family riding school in Versoix
The Poney Club de Machefer sits in an 18th-century farm on chemin de Machefer, in Versoix. Jean-Pierre Simonin turned it into a riding school in 1979, and the stables are now run by David and Raphaël Simonin.
Lessons
Children can start riding from the age of 4, in group or private lessons. The club has around 25 ponies and horses, an 18 by 24 metre indoor arena and a 20 by 40 metre outdoor paddock. Riders progress through the club's own "Crinières" levels: bronze, silver and gold.
